The Glendalough Lap of the Gap Marathon / Glen to Glen Half-marathon was created in 2016 and is a road race with all the benefits of a trail run: beautiful scenery and the opportunity to run against a challenging and memorable course. All in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park in aid of local club Glendalough AC.

When Glendalough Lap of the Gap was first proposed, we got enthusiastic support from our partners in Wicklow Tourism / Visit Wicklow who share our vision of Wicklow as a premier running destination. While the Wicklow Mountains are mostly known for trail races, there is something nice about watching the scenery without having to watch your footing too closely at the same time!
